Guitar Hire — Try Before You Buy
Not sure if guitar is for you yet? No problem. Guitar Academy offers a simple, risk-free hire scheme — electric or acoustic — so you can start learning straight away without committing to a purchase.
Hire starts from just £30 per month on a rolling contract with no minimum term. Return it any time, or keep renting for as long as you like. When you are ready to buy, we will discount the purchase price based on the condition of the guitar and how long you have been renting it.
Our hire guitars are professionally set up and maintained, so they play well from day one. Hire is open to everyone — you do not need to be an existing Guitar Academy student.

Choose an electric or acoustic guitar. Pay £30/month on a rolling contract — no minimum term, no long-term commitment. Cancel any time.
Risk-Free Trial
Not feeling it after a month? Simply return the guitar — no further payments, no penalties. All hire guitars are professionally set up so they play well from day one.
Option to Buy at a Discount
When you are ready to own it, buy your hire guitar at a discounted price. The discount depends on the condition of the instrument and how long you have been renting — get in touch and we will work it out for you.

Got a guitar that needs some attention? We offer a range of in-house repair and maintenance services in Petersfield. Whether it is a fresh set of strings, a wiring fault, or something more involved — get in touch and we will let you know what we can do.

For anything that requires specialist luthiery — refrets, neck work, nut replacements, custom builds, acoustic bracing repairs — we refer our customers to Simon Bailey at SMB Guitars in Milland, West Sussex.
Simon is a Master Luthier trained at the Musical Instrument Technology College of Merton, London, with over 20 years of experience in bespoke guitar building and repair. His workshop is based in the village of Milland in the South Downs National Park — about 10 minutes from Petersfield.
