Guitar Academy is expanding into Liphook — one of East Hampshire’s largest and fastest-growing communities. With over 1,500 students at Bohunt School alone, there is a huge pool of young people here who deserve access to high-quality, affordable music tuition. Our group guitar programme offers exactly that: structured lessons, a recognised syllabus, and a social setting that keeps students coming back week after week.
We’re welcoming registrations from families across Liphook and the surrounding villages — including Bramshott, Passfield, Griggs Green, and Headley. Our lessons are designed to be accessible whether you’re in the village centre or a few miles into the East Hampshire countryside.

No guitar? No problem. We can advise on affordable starter instruments and many students borrow one initially before deciding to invest.
The Rockschool Framework
All Guitar Academy lessons are built on the Rockschool syllabus — the UK’s most popular contemporary music grading system, recognised by universities and conservatoires. Students learn real songs across rock, pop, blues, and acoustic.
Our tutors have achieved a 100% pass rate across all Rockschool examinations. Grades run from Debut through to Grade 8. Whether your child wants to play for fun or work towards a qualification, Rockschool supports both paths.
Lessons are carefully paced so no one is left behind — mixed-ability groups work together, with tutors ensuring every student makes progress at every session.

Absolutely not. Rockschool graded exams are available and we’re proud of our 100% pass rate, but they’re entirely optional. Many students play purely for fun and never take an exam.
How much do lessons cost?
A term of 10 group guitar lessons costs £180 — just £18 per lesson. Compare that to private tuition (typically £40–£60/hour) and you can see the value, especially for families with more than one child.
Do students need their own guitar?
Students should aim to have access to a guitar for home practice, but you don’t need one on day one. We can recommend affordable starter instruments.
